An interview with Dr. Joshua Furman, Founding Director of the Houston Jewish History Archive (HJHA) at Rice University, and Dr. Melissa Kean, Centennial Historian at Rice University.
Topics include memories of flooding in Meyerland; the impact of Hurricane Harvey flooding on the origins of the HJHA; the salvaging of valuable historical documents from flooded buildings at United Orthodox Synagogues on Greenwillow Street and Congregation Beth Yeshurun on Beechnut Street; and the work of Rice University students and staff in recovery efforts.
