The photo was taken while we were having a short break from the clean up. The house was completely demolished around Easter 2018 after sitting empty for months after their evacuation. They were both in their 80s at the time of the flood. Their home of 55 years had never flooded before. They had about 3-4 feet of water in the house for 10 days. We are thankful that they got out safely, and for so many friends, strangers, and family members who helped with the salvage and clean up process.
