Neither he nor I knew how long we would stay, but he and his family were more than generous. Then when the water receded, he helped with generators and other materials. We ended up staying with him for 5 weeks. Other people could not wait to come to Houston to help us. A lot of this is a blur but I do not know how we would have mucked out the house without all the help we received. It took several weeks and I counted 30 people that came to our house to work cleaning it out. I will never forget them.
