When Harvey struck, we were lucky not to flood. But our house like many others around us, was surrounded by water.
We were trapped and we had no control of the situation.
Now that I look at my painting it makes sense, I was trapped in a box, panicked at the mercy of Mother Nature!

I feel like this is also a Tale of Two cities since it occurred so close to each other. The destruction of these storms hit us all so hard. The devastation was unimaginable. It would be an honor for this to be a part of the Houston Flood Museum.
