The bayou crested beyond its banks. The photo here is when it began to recede back inside the banks. This is in Katy, a couple of miles from the headwaters. After the roads were safe enough for her to navigate her way home after the main flooding event, my wife decided to throw an After-Harvey Potluck Party and invited all we knew and asked them to invite their neighbors as well. We had a very large turnout, meeting new neighbors and enjoying our time not being cooped up for several days. In this case, Harvey brought many of us together and has enriched the relationships in our lives.
