Title

School supplies courtesy of the Teachers Aid program at the Houston Food Bank during Hurricane Harvey recovery

Description

Volunteers of the Teachers Aid program served during Hurricane Harvey recovery by packing school supplies for teachers and students in need. Teachers Aid is a program of the Houston Food Bank, focused on providing student school supplies to those in need, so that teachers do not pay for them out of their own pockets. Overall, 325,857 pounds of school supplies were distributed to teachers in September 2017, five times more than in September 2016.
