This image was taken after about half of the remediation of my home had been finished, and the house had started to disappear behind the wreckage... Every day I saw people searching through the piles of refuse looking for anything salvageable. It did not bother me at all, as if someone can refinish a table or chair and give it a new life, it is better than filling up a landfill. Given everything going on I did not have the time for it myself, and sometimes I would even help dig through the piles to help them find matching items! But other neighbors were getting very upset with people going through their personal items, even if curbside.
