The University of Houston Libraries staff stayed connected with one another during Hurricane Harvey using the Cel.ly App. Staff voluntarily could share their personal experiences with the storm and respond to requests made by other coworkers. Through the app, coworkers were able to update each other on the status of their families well-being, share information on which areas of town were being directly impacted by the storm, communicate about volunteer opportunities, and send words of support and encouragement.
