Title
After the Hurricane - Neighborhood Bonding
Description
My wife was on the ride-out team at Texas Children's Hospital during the hurricane for an extended period of time and had to remain at the hospital while I stayed with the children in our home. After the roads were safe enough for her to navigate her way home after the main flooding event, my wife decided to throw an After-Harvey Potluck Party and invited all we knew and asked them to invite their neighbors as well. We had a very large turnout, meeting new neighbors and enjoying our time not being cooped up for several days. In this case, Harvey brought many of us together and has enriched the relationships in our lives.
