For days we were unable to travel even one exit north or one exit south on the gulf freeway.. either direction had high water making it impassable. This was taken while trying to get to our house in Dickinson

This is the 5" rain gauge on my balcony by Shepherd and Westheimer. I emptied it 5 times during Harvey.

The bayou had come out of its banks and had covered everything that was normally dry land. It looked like an enormous lake in front of the Allen Parkway/downtown area. Rushing water, water cascading over walls that would never be under water.

These images were taken during the "lull" in Harvey, when it stopped raining for a few hours, then started up again with a vengeance. They are around Shepherd and Memorial and some of my street as it flooded, then drained, 5 times.
